JCL-Galaxy Motor Scooter Company, or JCL International LLC, has an 80,000 square foot distribution center in Dallas, Texas and makes scooters, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), motorcycles, dirt bikes, and go karts. JCL was incorporated in 2007 and currently has annual revenue between $500,000 and $3,200,000 and employs a staff of approximately nineteen. The JCL-USA website shows a future electric standup vehicle that appears to be in production. The electric scooter has a maximum speed of 25 mph and will achieve 37 miles of continuous driving. It is run by two 24 volt batteries which take eight hours to charge the engine. It also has hydraulic disc brakes.
JCL scooters include one 50cc scooter, the JCL-MP50T, with the JCL-MP50B being discontinued. JCL motor scooters also include twelve models having 150cc engines, and two 250cc engine scooters. The JCL-MP50T has an air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), standard carburetor, CDI ignition with electric and kick starting, and front disc and rear drum brakes. This 50cc scooter has a maximum speed of 31 mph. The twelve 150cc models have the following, similar components: air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine with CVT transmission, CDI ignition with electric or kick starting system, and either front and rear disc brakes or front disc and rear drum brakes. Other standard equipment on the 150cc models includes Japanese NGK spark Plug, KOK intake manifold and oil seal, ATGL piston ring, and American Gates engine belt. The JCL-MP250A and the JCL-MP250E motor scooters have CVT, water-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder transmissions and engines. These models also come with CDI ignitions, electric starting systems, and front and rear disc brakes.
Dirt bikes include a wide range of models, starting at 49cc and including 110cc, 125cc, and 250cc engines. The company website currently shows that the JCL-MDB250A model is out of stock. An innovative scooter that JCL currently has is called the pocket bike. With a displacement of 107 ml, it has an air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine with hydraulic disc brakes, and electric and kick starting system. The Pocket Bikes have a maximum speed of 49.7 mph.
