Peter Frampton

"Frampton Comes Alive" was the revolutionary album that launched Peter Frampton's solo career into worldwide recognition and fame. The album released in January of 1976, with hit singles; "Baby, I Love Your Way", " Show Me the Way", and "Do You Feel Like We Do" was charted on the Billboard 200 for 97 weeks and was the top selling album of the year, 1976.

Peter Frampton's musical interests took root during his early childhood and he cites Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, and Eddie Cochran along with Cliff Richards and the Shadows as early influencers.

A near fatal car accident in 1978 that took place in the Bahamas preceded the decline of the meteoric musical career of Peter Frampton. This auto accident also contributed to the challenges of substance abuse to the prescription pain killers needed after the accident. However, Peter Frampton continued to be active in the music industry and became well-known for his talk box guitar technique. He often took the stage with prior band members from Humble Pie, or his old school mate, David Bowie. Other acts he was connected with were the Bee Gees, the Herd, Styx, and Ringo Starr.

In 2011, Peter Frampton brought his live show, Frampton Comes Alive 35^th Anniversary Tour to the United States and played the exact songs he had played in the original album in 69 locations throughout the country between June of 2011 and October of the same year. It was an exciting concert for those who were familiar with the success and sound of the first album and an unexpected treat for those who were not.

Peter Frampton, through tragedy and triumph has continued to contribute, tour, and innovate musically for the past four decades. On October 21, 2011, Peter Frampton was honored by Music City's Walk of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.
