Slow Dance

As its name implies, the Slow Dance is performed to music with a slow tempo. This dance is danced by couples. As with many dances designed for couples, one partner leads and the other partner follows that lead. Traditionally the male partner leads the couple around the floor and the female partner follows his lead. The Slow Dance is a ballroom dance. One rule of ballroom dancing is that the man presents the woman and the woman then presents the dance. This means that the man should lead in such a manner that it is easy for his partner to follow him in a graceful, easy flowing way.

The Slow Dance begins when one partner, traditionally the male, but often the female, asks the other partner to dance. The asking partner extends their hand and leads the accepting partner to the dance floor. The partners stand on the dance floor facing one another. They grasp hands with one hand, then the man's other hand rests on his partners waist and her other hand rests on his shoulder. The couple dances three to six inches apart. This makes taking a step without stepping on your partner's feet easier. The couple stands off center of each other. Usually the woman's left foot will rest between the man's two feet, with her right foot on the outside of his left foot. The man takes a step forward, and gently pushes his partner backward. The woman follows his lead and steps backward as the man leads her around the dance floor. When dancing the couple leaves the three to six inch space between them open during the entire dance. This is called maintaining the frame.

There are many variations of the Slow Dance. Couples can chose to dance closer together. They can chose to dance with the both of the man's hands on the woman's waist and the woman's hands on her partners shoulders. The first dance at a wedding reception is often the Slow Dance. The last dance at a formal school dance is usually the Slow Dance.

You can sing anything apart from the songs their comapny owns eg. Snsd Gee, Shinee hello. You can dance for 30 secs because they might not look through the whole dance, You should put the modeling in a different video to make it easier for them. 15 is a fine age to audition Good Luck
